Leonardo DiCaprio might be on the verge of teaming up with the director of 'The Dark Knight.'

DiCaprio is in "final negotiations" to star in 'Inception,' an action-packed sci-fi film to be directed by Batman-helmer Christopher Nolan, says Variety. Filming will begin this year and the movie is expected to hit theaters in summer 2010, says the trade.

Next up for Leo? 'Shutter Island,' a mysterious thriller directed by Martin Scorsese and due out this October.
